Home to Counter Canter's top hunter and jumper horses, Southwind is a lush haven for horse and rider alike.

The world-class World Equestrian Center is just a short drive away. But surrounded by old oaks dripping with Spanish moss, Southwind feels like a quiet escape.

Horses split their time between ample grassy turnout and roomy stalls in a newly-renovated state-of-the-art barn. In addition to a massive all-weather arena for schooling, trails run through the property and a grassy field is reserved for hacking out.

At Southwind, we believe in building a foundation for success through careful breeding, a serene environment, and an emphasis on the fundamentals. All of our horses – from the grand prix stallion to the short stirrup pony – are treated like both athletes and members of the family. Just as important, our students are not only strong and precise in the saddle, but excellent horsemen who learn to put the horse first and let the rest follow.
